Project with 4th year ESO students from IES Cavall Bernat in Terrassa about the people who disappeared due to the 1962 flood.
History is built from the relationship between people and the environment. And from these links emerges a territory, a space made up of cultures that leave traces. “Traces of the Future” is a proposal to reflect with the young people of IES Cavall Bernat on the neighborhood of Sant Llorenç, through the idea of absence. Paying homage to the people who disappeared in the flood of 1962. We present the trace as an image, a symbol of the bond between the individual and the environment. Using photography as a tool to explore and express young perspectives. Traces of the future.
Photo-pedagogical project with the 4th year of ESO students from the Cavall Bernat Institute in Terrassa. For two months we explored the concept of absence with the aim of paying tribute to the people who disappeared due to the 1962 flood. We learned the basic notions of visual composition, exploring the institute and the neighborhood. With the resulting images we created a cartography to orient ourselves in the territory and each one created a collage to represent the concept of absence. During the development of the creative process, various agents intervened, such as the Historical Archive of Terrassa, the Association of People Disappeared due to the 1962 Flood and the Sant Llorenç Civic Center. Finally, we made an intervention in the public space as the end of the project. And the result of the whole process was exhibited in the Muncunill Hall in Terrassa, along with the other projects of the Terraoasi.
