Photographic project with young people from an artistic high school to build a darkroom.
The proposal is organized in two sessions. In the first, we approach the history of photography and the origin of the camera obscura through different references, and we learn about the photographic development process. At the same time, we think about and design costumes inspired by the Renaissance era, using recycled materials.
The materials come from the center’s playground or have been provided by the participants. This decision allows us to reflect on our relationship with waste and the impact we generate on the environment.
In the second session, we build a darkroom in the high school classroom and take a series of portraits. The images are obtained in negative format and developed manually. The positivation is subsequently carried out in digital format.
