Two-session workshop (two 2-hour days) with young women from the Terrassa Youth District in El Corralito. In the first session, we will talk about artivism: what it is, its origins and some key references. The objective is to generate photographs that express what we want to communicate about a topic that concerns us or that we want to make visible. Based on the work of Barbara Kruger, we will create images combining photography and text. We will begin with an introduction to the relationship between art and activism and, then, we will work with the collage technique to build our final piece.

In the second session, we will focus on photographic practice. We will learn basic concepts about light and composition while exploring the expression of movement and working with emotions. We will also experiment with creative effects, such as “light painting”, to play with and bring our images to life.
